Braves Shutdown Marlins

The Miami Marlins lack of offense continued against the Atlanta Braves as the team didn't produce a run for the second night in a row losing 5-0.

Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers may not have pitched great, but pitched well enough to win. Miami was able to muster only three hits, and getting runners in scoring position twice. Compared to the Braves that had 10 hits, and went 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position. Max Fried took the hill for the Braves, and was in control of the Marlins bats all night. Fried pitched all nine-innings in rout to the three- hit shutout, that took less than two hours to complete.

The series wraps up Wednesday night with Sixto Sanchez getting the start for the Marlins, and Reynaldo Lopez for the Braves. First pitch is set for 7:20 p.m., coverage begins at 6:50 p.m. on Fox Sports 940am, or listen locally on the iHeartRadio App.
